Ever since the pandemic, the world has continued to shift towards digital avenues to continue our way of life. That is no different to the Yamaha Safety Riding Program which turned its usual face to face seminars to digital webinars. Even during this period of quarantine, travel remains essential and the continued influx of motorcycle use in the Philippines pushed Yamaha to further its advocacy for safe and proper riding.
The Yamaha Safe Riding Science Program has been going on for 12 years and has conducted hundreds of activities across the Philippines. The program is taught for free and expanded its reach to make sure all those who ride are equipped with the best knowledge available
It has educated all types of riders which include beginners, experienced riders, Yamaha club groups, aspiring riders, mothers, couples, company employees, traffic enforcers, and even military personnel. The original model consisted of a classroom type seminar which discusses forms of traffic safety and rider awareness. After which, attendees take part in an outdoor hands-on riding course where they learn more about the motorcycle and how to properly operate it.
Even with the absence of hand’s on lectures and riding courses, the instructors are equipped with latest educational modules that enhances a rider’s knowledge. This encompasses the basics in riding and motorcycle function to advanced traffic anticipation for varying travel conditions. Interaction is also vital to relaying information; the instructors make it a point to involve all the viewers and answer any inquiries to the best of their ability. Before going online, the activity was previewed by select media attendees who got to experience the program in its digital platform. The Yamaha Safety Riding program is now online. Keeping you safe and enhancing your riding ability even from a distance.
