After being crowned the 2019 ARRC UB150 Overall Champion, McKinley Kyle Paz continues his quest for greatness. ‘The Wonderboy’ has set his sights on the 2021 FIM CEV -REPSOL MOTO2 Category. The championship is the stepping stone for riders who are striving to reach the highly coveted MOTOGP. He makes history by becoming the first Filipino to compete in the event which is filled with the best young talents from all over the world. Racing under the VR46 Mastercamp Team, he will represent the country in racetracks across Spain and Portugal
Its been a long road for Yamaha’s Paz, who began racing at a young age, but his tremendous potential allowed him to win championships in multiple competitions. After dominating local competitions, he truly stamped his class as a top rate rider with his victory in the Asia Road Racing Championship as the first Filipino to be named champion in his category. He was also the first Filipino to be invited to the highly exclusive VR46 Master Camp. And even during the new normal which led to suspension of competitions, he continued to stay ready and eager to achieve victory in his next conquest.
The continued rise of Paz is a testament to the unwavering dedication of Yamaha Motor Philippines in developing riders in the Philippines. It is important for the company that Filipino riders are given the opportunity to be great and showcase their talent at home and abroad. To show that their aspirations for excellence in any competition can be realized. Yamaha offers only the top performing machines for every Filipino which will serve as their vessel towards every victory. But the pursuit does not stop there because Yamaha will keep innovating and advancing their machines.
