Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the largest tollway developer and operator in the Philippines with increasing interests in the neighboring ASEAN region, is finally set to introduce MPT Mobility, a venture that provides cutting-edge mobility solutions tethered to digital technology.
The spin-off follows months of extensive preparation and will house all of MPTC’s non-toll related enterprises.
While MPT Mobility is a new entity, it is poised to be among the pacesetters of digital adoption with a conglomeration of seven new business units offering digitally-driven solutions. These solutions fill non-competence, but indispensable business operation needs such as those in line work management, manufacturing, and other products and services.
Set to go online soon are the following subsidiary companies:
Dibz is a smart parking services group that offers pre-booked parking, valet services, parking management and Dibz Shop. Primarily created to eliminate parking frustration in high-congestion metro locations, this company is focused on developing an integrated ecosystem of mobility conveniences to motorists.
Spot On Advertising provides the business community with OOH (out of home) advertising opportunities. The company’s current inventory consists of bridge and median billboards that have face-on visibility to motorist and strategically-located roadside billboards. However, projects being lined up include digital and smart LED signage backed with data analytics along the high-visibility thoroughfares of EDSA, C5, and Roxas Boulevard to deliver more effective ad placement results.
Anyone who has ever made a pit stop at an NLEX (North Luzon Expressway) southbound commercial hub has already experienced the services of NLEX Drive & Dine. This toll service facility (TSF) hosts some of the most popular fast foods, sought-after full dining restaurants and drive-through dining, one-stop shops for local merchandise and delicacies, premium brand stores and discount outlets, and fuel stations. But most especially, Drive & Dine provides NLEX motorists with clean, spacious, and air-conditioned restrooms along Valenzuela, Meycauayan, Marilao, and nearby areas.
Those who are in need of outsourced manpower for general and maintenance services, roadway systems products and services, and traffic and auxiliary works on road network operations can find them at Southbend Express Services Inc. With over 900 personnel already deployed, Southbend caters to a varied client base such as toll road operations, water services, and others. Furthermore, Southbend is DOLE 174 and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
MPT Mobility’s innovation and diversification unit, Business Development, focuses more on developing projects of which a major component is digital technology. Some of the projects in the pipeline are Fiber Optics Communication Interface, Smart Cities and Intermodal terminals that answer multiple mobility requirements.
Easytrip Services Corporation may be the most identifiable brand in the group. It is an account management company that manages Metro Pacific Tollway’s electronic toll collection system. Long-term, the company is a solutions provider and integrator of innovative smart mobility solutions for road merchants, logistical firms, vehicle and transport-related entrepreneurs, and private motorists. Short-term, however, Easytripadvocates the use of RFID for seamless, contactless, cashless and safe transactions.
Last but not least, One Hub is MPT Mobility’s Centralized Customer Response Organization that responds to service concerns in all the digital touchpoints of MPTC. The service provides customer listening tools such as real-time chat on website, portal, or app touchpoints. One Hub is projected to support the MPTC group via accelerating inquiry response and case resolutions, providing centralized receipts, and processing all customer concerns.
“We are very excited about the launch. Digitalization is inevitable. We needed to be at the forefront of leveraging its adoption and transcend our core tollways business using the latest digital technology,” said MPT Mobility President and General Manager Raul Ignacio.
“What MPT Mobility has to offer addresses a variety of customer needs and provides them with operation and life conveniences via a digital interface. These digital solutions are all about improving mobility for the Filipino people,” he closed.
