Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. has always supported student-athletes in their endeavors of reaching success in their respective sport. As the UAAP returns for its 84th season after a 2-year postponement due to the pandemic, Yamaha was eager to continue its partnership.
Bannering this sports season is the Yamaha Mio with “Own the Culture” as its theme which represents uniqueness and boldness. A collective of riders who have outstanding personalities have created their own MIO culture, one that is completely and exclusively their own. Highlighting the lineup is the Mio Gear, built to be functional, resilient, and expressive with a wide range of extensibility. Just like the athletes that will be competing this season, they too must be ready to play.
Yamaha is no stranger to competition and performing at a high level. Yamaha Motor Philippines produced the first ever Filipino racer to compete at the Moto2 level in McKinley Kyle Paz. They also introduced Gian Carlo Mauricio and April King Mascardo who will represent the Philippines in the resumption of the Asia Road Racing Championship. It is no different from the universities who develop their student-athletes to realize their peak potential in their respective sports.
The season showcase the re-ignited passion of the 8-member universities and Yamaha’s constant belief in the spirit of competition that brings out the best in us.
The UAAP SEASON 84 will be shown on TV5, One Sports, Varsity Channel and Smart Gigaplay App.
