Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. remains relentless in their pursuit of excellence in every aspect. Recently their Motorsports Instructors attended a special off-road certification program by the Yamaha Riding Academy. The three-day training session was held to further refine the abilities of all participants and expand their knowledge about the different off-road motorcycles. On the third day, after receiving their certification, the instructors would apply what they’ve learned by training participants from the YZone and Rev Zone shops.

Leading the way for the certification was Yuji Nakazawa of Yamaha Motor Company Japan. Nakazawa is no ordinary trainer with accolades stemming from Motocross and Snowmobile Championships from the late 90s to the early 2000’s in competitions held in Japan and the United States.

The training course focused on Riding Posture, Perimeter, Start and Stop, Braking, Sitting and Standing, Slalom, SmallTurn, Uphill and Downhill. April King Mascardo, who placed third overall in the 2022 UB150 category of the ARRC was in attendance for day 1. Off-Road Champions Bornok Mangosong and Pia Gabriel were also part of the program.
The Motorsports Team will continue to have skill up trainingthroughout the year to ensure that they will always beequipped and confident in delivering and executing off-road of activities.
