The Ducati DesertX Rally secured another impressive victory in the twin-cylinder category at the renowned Erzbergrodeo, led by the skilled Antoine Meo. This triumph on June 2nd added to Ducati’s historic Sunday, where Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini clinched a remarkable 1-2 finish in the MotoGP race at Mugello. Meo, a multiple Enduro world champion and European Supercross Champion, clinched victory in the Iron Road Prologue for the second consecutive time aboard the DesertX.
The Iron Road Prologue, a rigorous test for the over 1300 participants, serves as a qualifier for the final event. Meo and the DesertX Rally, supported by the Entrophy Motorbike team, dominated the competition, setting the pace in the twin-cylinder category.
The DesertX Rally showcased its prowess, maintaining a historic front row position for the main event. Meo’s bike, minimally modified with racing-derived components, demonstrated exceptional performance on the challenging course, highlighting the Ducati engine’s capabilities and the quality of its race-ready chassis.
Notably, other DesertX Rally riders, Patrick Neisser and Simon Marcic, displayed commendable performances, securing fourth and eighth positions respectively in the twin-cylinder category.
The enthusiastic reception of the Ducati team by spectators at the Erzbergrodeo underlined the brand’s growing commitment to off-road racing. This dedication will continue at the Italian Motorally championship in Foligno, where Meo and Antonio Polidoro will once again showcase the DesertX Rally’s capabilities.
Designed for adventurous off-roaders, the DesertX Rally boasts top-of-the-line components and a distinctive Ducati style. Its powerful 937 cc liquid-cooled Testastretta 11° engine, optimized for off-road use, ensures thrilling rides on any terrain.
To further encourage young enthusiasts, Ducati offers a 1,000 euro discount on all 35 kW motorbikes in the range, along with the “4Ever Ducati” guarantee, valid for four years with unlimited mileage.
