Mel Aquino’s Riding School Philippines (MRSP) has announced a significant new partnership, signing a 5-year management contract with The Motomo Company (MTM). This collaboration merges the extensive training and riding course expertise of MRSP, led by its charismatic founder and head coach, Mel Aquino, with the business acumen of MTM.
“We have been wanting to bring MRSP to the next level, and by entering into this agreement with The Motomo Company, we are confident and excited for the future of the riding school I started 8 years ago,” declared Mel Aquino, president of MRSP, during the contract signing today. “I’m proud of what we’ve built over the last 8 years and look forward to building on this solid foundation with MTM.”
Philip Sison, president of MTM, expressed equal enthusiasm about the partnership. “The Motomo Company is excited to partner with Mel Aquino and MRSP, who are well-established names in the street and off-road rider safety training circles in the Philippines. We see great potential in the school not only to improve riders’ off-road skills but to advocate for greater safety awareness among all motorcycle riders. We share many values with Mel and MRSP, including a love and passion for safe riding.”
The signing ceremony, held at MTM’s office along Sumulong Highway in Antipolo, was attended by representatives from both MRSP and MTM. The formalization of this relationship marks a new chapter for MRSP, with MTM set to provide management and operational expertise, and assist in developing new and innovative products, services, and events in the motorcycle space. MTM will also work towards institutionalizing and sustaining the Mel Aquino and MRSP brands.
Founded by Mel Aquino in 2016, MRSP started as a training camp for off-road and on-road riding. The school offers courses for beginners and first-time riders, as well as basic and advanced off-road and on-road courses for riders of varying skill levels, from beginners to experienced adventure riders. MRSP is located at the KRB Raceway along Marcos Highway in Inarawan, Antipolo.
MTM, a company dedicated to providing a premium experience to riders, is underpinned by its mission of motorcycle safety. Besides rider education, MTM aims to bring this premium experience to motorcycle events, retailing, and lifestyle sectors. It is a subsidiary of Spiderhook, Inc.
This partnership promises to elevate the standards of motorcycle training and safety advocacy in the Philippines, ensuring a safer and more skilled riding community.
