Cavite buzzed with excitement as Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) launched its first-ever Biyaheng South Adventure Tour. Organized in partnership with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG Region IV-A), the Provincial Government of Cavite, and the municipalities of Mendez-Nuñez and Maragondon, the event highlighted Cavite’s thrilling activities and scenic spots, all easily accessible via MPT South’s CAVITEX and CALAX expressways.
A group of lucky adventurers, mostly energetic Gen Z and millennial travelers, were selected through an online raffle hosted on the Biyaheng South Facebook page. These lucky participants, along with popular travel influencers, set off for a day of adrenaline-fueled adventures and breathtaking scenery, showcasing the best of what Cavite has to offer.
The first stop was Yoki’s Farm in Mendez-Nuñez, Cavite, just under two hours from Metro Manila via CAVITEX. Here, participants enjoyed a guided zoo tour, interacting with animals like rabbits, birds, zebras, and other exotic creatures. The unique eco-tourism spot combined both education and recreation, making it a perfect destination for nature and animal lovers.
The group then headed to the Maragondon Balsa River Cruise for a scenic lunch. Floating gently down the river on a balsa, they enjoyed a tranquil dining experience surrounded by nature, providing a peaceful break in their adventure-packed day. The serene setting allowed for a deeper connection with both nature and fellow travelers.
For the final thrill of the day, the group visited Paraiso de June Quixote in Maragondon, Cavite. This adventure-packed destination offered zip biking, ziplining, ATV rides, and the thrilling Cavite Swing, where participants sat on a swing at the edge of a cliff, taking in the breathtaking views. The site delivered high-adrenaline experiences in a beautiful natural setting, catering to adventure-seekers and nature lovers alike.
Arlette V. Capistrano, Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management at MPT South, emphasized that the tour aimed to promote both tourism and sustainable travel in Cavite. The Biyaheng South Adventure Tour, following the success of previous food and photo tours, underscores MPT South’s commitment to promoting Cavite as a prime destination for both excitement and culture, further strengthening connections within the community.
