inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform operating in 48 countries, continues to make waves as the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app for three consecutive years. According to market intelligence firm Sensor Tower, inDrive maintained its strong performance in 2024, placing among the top five most downloaded travel apps globally, alongside giants like Google Maps and Waze. With over 280 million downloads worldwide, inDrive’s success is driven by its commitment to providing transparent, fair, and flexible mobility solutions.
In the Philippines, inDrive has adapted its global model to suit local needs by offering clear information about vehicle types, pick-up distances, and competitive pricing based on local regulations. Unlike its bid-based pricing system in other countries, inDrive focuses on transparency and fairness in the Philippines, ensuring that passengers and drivers alike benefit from a straightforward and efficient service.
Since its launch in the country, inDrive has significantly reshaped the local mobility landscape. Filipino users appreciate the platform’s flexibility in choosing their rides, which promotes fairness and empowers both passengers and drivers. In January 2025, inDrive saw a threefold increase in daily rides compared to its relaunch in 2024, while active user numbers doubled, and active drivers surged by 96%, highlighting its growing influence in the market.
Globally, inDrive continues to expand its services beyond ride-hailing, venturing into city-to-city transportation, courier services, and even urban services like home repairs and housekeeping. The company’s growth is bolstered by its mission to challenge injustice and create positive impacts on a global scale. In December 2024 alone, inDrive recorded 6.1 million downloads and remains the leading ride-hailing app in markets such as Egypt, Nepal, and Panama.
Looking ahead, inDrive founder and CEO Arsen Tomsky sees tremendous potential in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines. He envisions inDrive as a key player in the region’s urban mobility scene, committed to providing fair opportunities for drivers and transparent options for passengers. With a bold goal to positively impact 1 billion lives by 2030, inDrive is set to expand further, shaping the future of transportation with community-driven and equitable solutions.
