Honda CR-V Wins Two Major Awards at ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards 2018

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s automobile business unit in the Philippines, is pleased to announce that the Honda CR-V received two distinguished safetyrelated awards at the ASEAN NCAP (ASEAN New Car Assessment Program) Grand Prix Awards 2018, which took place in Karawang, Indonesia. The Honda CRV won the “Best SUV Car” in Child Occupant Protection (COP) and the “ASEAN NCAP Excellent Award  Consistent 5 Star.” This achievement emphasizes Honda’s strong commitment to safety and its vision to realize a collisionfree mobile society.

The 5th generation Honda CRV, which has been awarded a 5Star ASEAN NCAP safety rating, was selected as the safest car in the SUV car category in Child Occupant Protection (COP). The allnew CRV made its ASEAN debut in Thailand in March 2017 and has since expanded sales to eight other countries, with over 70,000 units sold across the region.     The model has received several prestigious awards in ASEAN countries such as:

 Thailand: Thailand Car of the Year 2017
 Philippines: CAGI’s Philippines Car of the Year 2017
 Indonesia: FORWOT’s Car of the Year 2017
 Malaysia:Carlist’s Car of the Year 2017.

 

The CRV also won the “ASEAN NCAP Excellent Award  Consistent 5 Star” for its excellence and continuous 5Star ASEAN NCAP safety rating for both the 4th and 5th generation of this popular and wellaccepted SUV model.
