ARRC Update: ARRC Race 1 Results in Suzuka Japan

After the result of Race 1 the UMA Racing Yamaha Philippines team of McKinley Kyle Paz and Masato Fernando are livid for a comeback.

These 2 riders were hard at work after moving on from a loss in Thailand. They were fast to regroup and headed out training, focused on the upcoming challenge that they would face at the Suzuka Ciruit in Japan. Beaming with pride when they were selected to represent the country, they seemed undaunted against a plethora of Asia’s best. Not to mention that it will be their first time competing in a full season of the ARRC. After 2 rounds that gave them both victory and defeat, plus new racetracks and riding conditions, they remained still for the flag that they raced for.

Entering the grid in Suzuka, Race Leader McKinley Kyle Paz was in the 7th position and partner Masato had a hurdle ahead of him by starting at 16th. The Chairman had prepared for this instance and his confidence did not waver. When the race started Masato kept himself in the middle of the pack and waited for the perfect time to strike. Like a boxer baiting his opponent, he saw the opening in the last lap and had the leaders right in his sights. But just as glory was within reach, the rider in front of him suffered a fall which also caused him to tumble. He ended up 14th.

Paz on the other hand was among the leaders in the entire race. But to the surprise of everyone watching, Kyle was out of the race due to a technical issue. Clearly a force to be reckoned with, the Wonderboy wasn’t going to let his lead be taken from him. He was locked in on another podium finish, another 1st place victory for the country, McKinley gave it everything he could.
