ACMobility Introduces Paid Charging Model to Enhance EV Experience in the Philippines

  • New fee structure supports infrastructure expansion and ensures reliable, high-quality charging services nationwide

ACMobility, the mobility solutions arm of the Ayala Group, is implementing a new paid charging model to improve the EV experience and meet the growing demand for electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the Philippines. With over 250 charging points in more than 100 locations by the end of 2024, ACMobility is rolling out a fee of PHP 28.50 per kWh for AC charging and PHP 35 per kWh for DC charging across its stations in the National Capital Region (NCR), effective December 12, 2024. Approved by the Department of Energy (DOE), the new structure ensures a reliable and sustainable charging network that EV users can depend on.

“Charging fees allow us to reinvest in infrastructure and continue delivering top-tier service to our customers,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility. “Our goal is to offer accessible, reliable, and convenient charging solutions for worry-free journeys across NCR and beyond.”

Enhancing User Experience and Infrastructure
By introducing charging fees, ACMobility can maintain and upgrade its advanced technology at EV charging stations, offering fast, efficient, and secure services. The EVRO app further enhances the user experience by allowing drivers to locate compatible stations, track charging sessions, and make cashless payments seamlessly. Additionally, fees promote timely charging sessions, maximizing availability for other users. ACMobility also ensures customer support is available during operational hours.

Sustainable Expansion and Commitment to Quality
ACMobility remains committed to supporting the growing EV community by expanding its network and integrating cutting-edge technology to serve consumers better. The company aims to create a seamless charging experience for all EV owners, further contributing to the country’s sustainable transportation goals.

“We are grateful to Filipinos for choosing ACMobility, and with every new station, we come closer to achieving our mission of promoting sustainable mobility,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure. “Together, we’re building a greener future for generations to come.”
