Aprilia Tuareg Racing once again made history at the 2025 Africa Eco Race, with Jacopo Cerutti emerging as the champion for the second year in a row. This thrilling edition saw Cerutti and the team secure the title after a fiercely competitive race that remained unpredictable until the final timed section. The event concluded with a grand parade on the banks of Lac Rose, symbolizing yet another triumphant moment for the Aprilia team.

The sixteenth edition of the Africa Eco Race spanned nearly 6,000 kilometers, traversing the awe-inspiring terrains of Morocco, Mauritania, and Senegal. The challenging course tested both riders and their machines, highlighting the exceptional quality and resilience of the Aprilia Tuareg Rally bikes. The race’s final stage took the participants to the iconic Lac Rose, where the 2025 edition concluded in spectacular fashion.

Jacopo Cerutti displayed unwavering determination and skill throughout the race, overcoming various challenges that included complex navigation, difficult terrain, and technical issues with his rear tyre mousse and navigation instruments. Despite these setbacks, Cerutti managed to secure five stage victories and two podium finishes, defending his title down to the very last kilometer and further cementing his strong connection with the Aprilia Tuareg Rally.

Francesco Montanari also delivered an impressive performance, demonstrating consistent improvement throughout the competition. His first stage victory and three podium finishes earned him recognition as one of the standout competitors in this year’s rally. Meanwhile, Marco Menichini, in his debut with the Tuareg, claimed victory in the Under-25 Junior Class and third place in the multicylinder class, showcasing his potential and adding another achievement to the team’s remarkable performance.

With their second consecutive title, Team Aprilia Tuareg Racing has solidified its position as a dominant force in the rally raid scene. The symbolic image of the race, with Cerutti finishing a stage on a bare rim due to tyre mousse issues, perfectly embodies the durability and versatility of the Aprilia Tuareg Rally. Developed in collaboration with the Guareschi brothers’ GCorse and Metzeler, the bike continues to set new standards for performance in extreme rally conditions.
