Looking for a new place to stay active or enjoy leisure time with loved ones on weekends? Araneta City is launching its aRUNeta Run Club, offering residents and nearby communities a fresh outdoor experience. Starting on September 8, the city grounds will transform into an ‘open public space’ every Sunday from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM, providing a vehicle-free environment for physical activities like running, jogging, Zumba, cycling, and walking.
The initiative aims to create a safe and accessible space for recreation while promoting a healthier lifestyle for the community. “We, at Araneta Group, believe that open spaces are essential for a balanced urban environment, offering relief from the city’s hustle. aRUNeta Run Club also serves as a social hub, fostering a sense of community,” said Marjorie Go, vice president for marketing at Araneta City.
Several roads, including Gen. Romulo Ave., Gen. Roxas Ave., Gen. Araneta Ave., and others, will be partially closed to traffic, allowing pedestrians to enjoy the space free of charge. Participants are encouraged to keep the area clean and trash-free while making the most of the city’s newest wellness program.
