“Throw your worries out of your journeys. Leave it all behind at the Yamaha Explorers Camp!”
Yamaha Motor Philippines is raising the bar for moto-exploration with the PG-1! Short for Playful Gear, this motorcycle is perfect for anyone seeking an authentic outdoor connection and a break from city life. Say goodbye to the mundane cycle of overtime, night shifts, long lines, and deadlines because Yamaha has created the Explorers Camp to ignite your desire for adventurous journeys with the PG-1. This two-part camp encourages all attendees to leave behind their worries and embrace exploration.
PART 1: Outside the city, into the woods of Tanay, Rizal!
On Day 1, Yamaha exclusively invited media partners, motovloggers, and film enthusiasts to a midweek escape at Camp Hiatus, Tanay. This event offered a break from daily routines and a chance to embrace the freedom of riding the PG-1. The adventure began with an hour-and-a-half ride from Yamaha’s Flagship Shop, the YZONE, to the campsite.

Upon arrival, Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) tested the participants’ eagerness to leave their worries behind by introducing seven different stations. Each station symbolized a corporate or life challenge to escape from, and participants had to unlock the motorcycle’s full potential to complete them. They experienced the PG-1 on rough terrain at Station 1, tested the durability of its block-patterned tires with a burnout at Station 2, skillfully navigated through a river at Station 3, tackled long lines at Station 4, overcame deadlines at Station 5, rode through the night at Station 6, and concluded with a meeting to share their PG-1 explorations at Station 7. This content competition showcased the PG-1’s outstanding outdoor performance, satisfying every explorer’s longing for adventure.
Hosted by Drew Arellano, the evening program was live-streamed on Yamaha’s Facebook Page, engaging the online audience to vote for the best content exploration. Yamaha also announced the upcoming PG-1 Filmfest and the selected filmmakers who will compete for Best Film, focusing on the “PG-1’s Leave it all behind” concept.
PART 2: Exploration extends to Bridgetown!
The Explorers Camp continued on Day 2 with an urban twist in Bridgetown, Pasig. This event was open to the public, inviting all Yamaha Club riders and potential customers to try the Flat Track Test Ride experience and become PG-1 explorers for a day. Additional activities like Henna Tattoos, Wood Carving, and the Maze Challenge were set up to encourage everyone to participate and ride.
