BYD Cars Philippines Partners with Ayala Land Inc. in ACMobility ACRE Movement

BYD Cars Philippines has partnered with Ayala Land Inc. to join the ACMobility ACRE Movement, launching a new initiative that integrates sustainability into the customer ownership experience. Through the ACRE Movement’s Gift of Tree program, ALI’s carbon forest partners will plant and nurture one tree for every BYD vehicle sold starting this July. This collaboration marks a significant step towards reinforcing BYD’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement.

Toti Zara, Head of Automotive Retail Distribution of ACMobility, highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating, “BYD continuously aims to reinforce its sustainability brand pillar via meaningful community endeavors that engage with its customers. At the heart of BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility is changing the way you move by driving sustainability and embracing social responsibility.” This initiative aligns with Ayala Corporation’s broader sustainability efforts and underscores the shared values between the two companies.

The ACMobility ACRE Movement’s primary goal is to give back to the environment and contribute to the restoration of Ayala Land Inc.’s carbon forests. The growing sales numbers of BYD Cars Philippines, along with those of other ACMobility automotive brands, will significantly contribute to this tree-planting initiative. Robert S. Lao, Chief Sustainability Officer of Ayala Land, emphasized the alignment of this partnership with Ayala Land’s vision of eco-efficiency and sustainability, noting the dedication of 784 hectares across seven sites as carbon forests to absorb carbon dioxide and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
