Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of Caltex fuels and lubricants, recently donated solar street lights to Barangays Palilan and Tabo-o in Misamis Occidental, enhancing road safety and visibility for residents and travelers. The initiative, which took place near Chevron’s local fuel terminal, aims to reduce risks in poorly lit areas and improve safety during emergencies, such as power outages or natural disasters.
The residents of Barangays Palilan and Tabo-o expressed deep gratitude, noting that the solar lights have significantly improved night-time security for both locals and tourists. By illuminating key pathways and roads, the installation has alleviated concerns about accidents and safety in the community.
“We are proud to support communities through projects like this,” said Irven Walter Abenojar, Terminal Operator Associate at CPI. Chevron’s efforts reflect its commitment to sustainable development and community welfare, with plans for future initiatives to continue enhancing local safety and well-being.
