Around 7.3 million Filipinos were found jobless since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. This number includes Lester Llansang, a former actor who found himself unemployed after his recent stint in Ang Probinsyano and the same goes for a lot of recent partner drivers who joined Lalamove after being displaced from their previous job. In its continuous effort to support drivers’ livelihood, the delivery app has kept its doors open for aspiring partner drivers.
Lester Llansang recently made waves from his interview with Ogie Diaz as he shared his newfound journey with Lalamove. He extensively shared his day-to-day experiences delivering goods for the platform’s clients.
Alvin Castillo, a former hotel staff, also shared his struggle in dealing with his company’s entrenchment and finding a new means of earning. Alvin shares. With only the hope of making ends meet, he was surprised that he actually earns more now. Alvin adds.
Employees were not the only ones displaced by the pandemic. Arnold Baroquillo owns a business on the verge of collapse and the pandemic made it even harder to bounce back. Arnold passionately shared.
