Ducati wraps up 2023 with robust financial results, affirming the company’s resilience and the wisdom of its recent strategic choices.
The operating outcome for 2023 marks a historic high for Ducati, totaling €112 million, reflecting a notable increase in profitability compared to the preceding year, climbing to 10.5%.
Despite encountering heightened global competition and challenges within the Chinese market, Ducati’s revenue surpassed the €1 billion mark for the second consecutive year, reaching €1.065 billion, slightly below the record-breaking figure achieved in 2022 (€1.089 billion).
In 2023, Ducati delivered 58,224 motorcycles to enthusiasts worldwide. Although this figure represents a slight decrease compared to 2022, it positions the previous year as the third-best in the company’s sales history.
Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, expressed, “The outcomes achieved by Ducati in 2023 affirm the soundness of our strategic decisions and our policy of self-financed investments pursued over the years. Closing the fiscal year with revenue once again exceeding €1 billion and a record operating result, alongside our successes in competitive racing where we clinched the World Championship titles in MotoGP and WorldSBK for the second consecutive year, validates our approach.”
Domenicali continued, “Bolstered by these achievements, we look steadfastly toward the future, continuing to execute our brand and product range development plan. We aim to broaden our presence across new segments, engage with fresh motorcyclists, and foster the community of Ducatisti. Our entry into motocross this year is a testament to this commitment.”
Henning Jens, Ducati CFO, added, “2023 unfolded against the backdrop of a motorcycle market marked by escalating competition and challenging global economic conditions. Nonetheless, Ducati managed to enhance profitability, achieving a Return on Sales of 10.5% and a new record operating result. This success can be attributed to our compelling model mix and unwavering focus on cost efficiency and operational excellence across all fronts. It underscores Ducati’s operation on a robust financial footing, delivering commendable performance even during trying times.”
