Last year, three Ka-pandas and their beloved partners had the privilege of experiencing their dream weddings courtesy of foodpanda logistics. This year, the love story expanded as 14 fortunate delivery partners from across the country were chosen to partake in grand wedding celebrations. Ron Sanders, the Philippines Rider Experience Lead at foodpanda logistics, expressed, “Organizing weddings for our delivery partners marks an unforgettable milestone in their lives, one they will forever hold dear.”
Explore the romantic tales of some of these Ka-pandas, who sealed their unions with their significant others during the most romantic time of the year – the love month.
Love Endures Through Thick and Thin
Ka-panda Glen Oton recounts his journey of love with his partner. From overcoming financial hardships to cherishing moments of togetherness, they faced life’s challenges hand in hand. “Despite disagreements, we always choose to mend things in the end,” Glen revealed. “The Kasalang Ka-panda initiative significantly helped us achieve our dream of marrying each other.” In a beautiful ceremony, Glen and his partner exchanged heartfelt vows of love and commitment before their closest friends and family.
Through Every Season of Life
From teenage sweethearts to raising a family together, Albert Cabañelez has been by his partner’s side since 2004, blessed with three children. Yet, one simple wish remained constant – to tie the knot.
“We didn’t aspire for a fairytale wedding because marrying my beloved was more than enough for me, and we are grateful that foodpanda logistics made it possible,” Albert shared.
It’s Never Too Late
Rodrigo Goyon Bongais Jr., a former tricycle driver, has shared 15 years of his life with his partner and two lovely daughters. Despite their seemingly complete lives, one chapter remained unfulfilled – saying “I do.” “Our lives are complete, marriage is the only missing piece. So, I hoped we could marry before I turned 50,” Rodrigo mentioned. Thanks to foodpanda logistics’ Kasalang Ka-panda initiative, a promise turned into reality. “My partner was overjoyed because our long-held dream finally came true, as I had promised to marry her for so long,” he added.
In addition to the wedding festivities, foodpanda also lavished its delivery partners with generous gifts and giveaways from sponsors, accompanied by their adorable mascot, who assumed the role of “Ninong” Pau-Pau.
Other Ka-pandas also had the opportunity to surprise their loved ones with a special Valentine’s Kit, utilizing their hard-earned Bamboo Rewards.
The Bamboo Rewards program, introduced by foodpanda logistics for its delivery partners, allows them to earn in-app points for each completed delivery. These points can later be redeemed for various items, including vouchers, merchandise, electronics, vehicle accessories, and more.
“We are delighted to have celebrated Valentine’s Day with our Ka-pandas in such a meaningful manner, and we hope they cherish these precious moments,” Sanders remarked. “Kasalang Ka-panda is just one instance of honoring their unique narratives and demonstrating that we recognize their journeys and continuously strive to make their experiences extraordinary.”
