Delivery service provider foodpanda logistics is supporting its delivery partners affected by Super Typhoon Carina with a donation of more than Php 5 million worth of food and essentials. This aid, part of the Panda Pag-asa program, aims to help around 10,000 Ka-panda delivery partners in severely affected areas such as Metro Manila, Cainta, South Metro Manila, Baguio, and Bulacan. Their pandaPatrol: Hub on Wheels will distribute essential relief items like water, rice, and canned goods in these cities.
In the aftermath of the typhoon, delivery partners have become crucial as residents rely on them for essential food and groceries. Foodpanda logistics has implemented a nationwide earnings boost to help Ka-pandas manage delays and challenges posed by the storm. One notable story is that of Ronnel Quinto, a dedicated delivery partner who waded through knee-deep floodwaters in Makati to deliver an order on foot.
Similarly, Mark Joseph Quirabo, another Ka-panda delivery partner, bravely navigated floodwaters in Olongapo to ensure an order reached its destination. These stories highlight the determination and resilience of the delivery partners. Foodpanda logistics acknowledges the extended wait times for their Ka-pandas and has initiated an earnings boost to compensate for delays caused by the adverse weather conditions.
Beyond food deliveries, grocery orders have become essential for many households stocking up during the storm. Ka-panda Leonardo Antig Jr. from San Pedro, Laguna, expressed his gratitude after receiving free snacks from foodpanda’s grocery arm, pandamart, while picking up orders. This gesture shows foodpanda’s appreciation for their delivery partners’ hard work even in challenging conditions.
Foodpanda logistics has praised these modern heroes for their dedication and resilience. They remind their Ka-pandas to prioritize safety but also recognize those who go above and beyond to ensure orders are delivered. Foodpanda also asks customers to be patient with delivery partners if there are delays due to adverse weather conditions.
