For Road Safety and Environment Protection: Powerstroke Rolls out the MARILAQUE Project


Powerstroke initiated the MARILAQUE Project last January where in the company adopts Barangay Cuyambay in Tanay, Rizal as part of its corporate advocacies. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by Hon. Reynaldo Dela Sada, Brgy Chairman as witnessed by Barangay officials, last March 4, 2024, for the implementation of the project.

The putting up of Structural Road Safety Signages in Brgy. Cuyambay community, from the so called “Big C” to Martessem were strategically placed to help enhance road safety awareness and contribute to the overall safety of road users. Powerstroke also aims to preserve the beauty and cleanliness of the area as the project included a donation of waste bins the Manukan area, a popular hangout spot for motorcyclists.

The primary objectives of the MARILAQUE Project are to improve traffic management, reduce accidents, and raise awareness about responsible road driving and riding behavior. The installation of prominent and visible road safety signs will help ensure that drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists are well-informed about potential hazards and regulations. These signages will also guide drivers, facilitating a smoother flow of traffic.


The donation of waste bins is a part of the company’s implement strategies to reduce the overall volume of waste generated in the Manukan area. Aside from this, Powerstroke also conducts awareness campaigns to educate the community about proper waste disposal methods and the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. This aims to foster community participation through organized clean-up events, workshops, and collaborative efforts to instill a sense of responsibility and pride in proper waste management.
