Ford Motor Company Names Pedro Simoes as New Managing Director for Ford Philippines

Ford Motor Company has appointed Pedro Simoes as the new managing director of Ford Philippines, effective December 1, 2024. Simoes, who is currently the marketing, commercial vehicle, and fleet director for Ford Middle East, will be relocating to Manila to assume his new role. He will succeed Michael “Mike” Breen, who will be returning to the U.S. after his successful tenure. Simoes will report directly to Yukontorn “Vickie” Wisadkosin, president of Ford ASEAN and Asia Pacific Distributor Markets, and will focus on continuing Ford’s growth in the Philippines, enhancing customer experience, and strengthening relationships with dealer partners.

Pedro Simoes brings extensive leadership experience from his time at Ford Middle East, where he played a key role in expanding the brand’s presence and improving business processes. His track record includes leading marketing efforts, establishing new teams, and driving significant growth in vehicle sales and profits in the Middle East and other regions. Yukontorn Wisadkosin expressed confidence in Simoes’ ability to lead the team in the Philippines, noting his collaborative leadership style and success in driving market expansion.

Simoes will succeed Mike Breen, who made notable contributions to Ford’s business success in the Philippines, particularly by strengthening dealer relations and delivering impressive business results. Wisadkosin thanked Breen for his dedication and leadership and wished him success in his new role in the U.S.
