In a recent press release from the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Regulation No. 24-022 series of 2024 was announced, stipulating that e-bikes, e-trikes, as well as tricycles, pedicabs, pushcarts, and kuligligs are prohibited from traversing national roads, circumferential, and radial roads in Metro Manila.
Gogoro Philippines would like to clarify that the Gogoro SuperSport, Gogoro Delight, and Gogoro S2 Premium fall under Category L3 e-motorcycles. These two-wheeled vehicles are capable of speeds exceeding 50km/hr. As per the Land Transportation Office’s Administrative Order No. 2021-0039, these vehicles require LTO registration and a valid driver’s license for operation. They are permitted on all types of roads, including national roads, circumferential roads, and radial roads, with the exception of limited access highways such as expressways.
In collaboration with the MMDA and our other national agency partners, we remain committed to promoting road safety and adherence to road rules and regulations.
