Grab and MOVE IT Reinforce Commitment to Driver Wellness with Annual Health & Wheelness Event 2024

Grab Philippines and MOVE IT reaffirmed their commitment to driver and rider well-being through their annual Health & Wheelness Driver Care Event 2024, which welcomed over 4,000 driver-, delivery-, and rider-partners along with their families. The event aimed to promote a more holistic approach to health and wellness for Grab and MOVE IT partners. Held in collaboration with key organizations like the MMDA, Philippine Red Cross, First Metro Asset Management, and Pag-IBIG, the event featured seminars and workshops on essential topics such as healthy diets, road safety, social protection, and financial well-being.

Attendees availed of free check-ups conducted by various partners like EO Optical

The event also provided attendees with a range of health services, including free medical, dental, and optometric check-ups. In partnership with Generika Pharmacy, Grab and MOVE IT distributed vitamins, health supplements, and medications after consultations. Additionally, 700 pre-registered participants received custom-made dentures as part of the dental services. This comprehensive care initiative underscored the platforms’ dedication to ensuring the health of their driver communities.

Government agencies like Pag-IBIG also had their dedicated booths, further encouraging more Grab and MOVE IT partners to become official members and avail of essential social protection services

In line with their focus on social protection, Grab and MOVE IT partnered with government agencies such as Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth, setting up dedicated booths to facilitate membership applications and distribute new Loyalty Card Plus and health IDs. This encouraged more partners to avail themselves of essential social protection services. Self-care services like free haircuts, massages, and nail cleaning were also available, offering participants a chance to relax and recharge.

Beyond the on-ground activities, Grab and MOVE IT hosted an online seminar to extend wellness education to a wider audience. Partner organizations like the Philippine Red Cross, Department of Agriculture, and Shell Philippines contributed to discussions on healthy eating and vehicle maintenance. The platforms also supported their partners’ vehicles with free oil changes provided by Shell and Mechanigo.Ph. Additionally, technology-driven initiatives like the Fatigue Nudge feature and the GrabAcademy and Ka-MOVE IT Academy platforms ensured continuous access to wellness resources and training.
