GrabCar Highlights Improved Booking Reliability for Filipino Passengers

Grab Philippines announced significant strides in enhancing the reliability of its transportation services for Filipino commuters. In the first half of the year, nine out of ten passengers attempting to book a Grab ride were successfully allocated a driver within an average of 21 seconds, marking a notable improvement in booking time compared to the previous year.

This advancement in service reliability is highlighted in a new series of humorous videos, featuring the tagline, “Sorry, ‘Di Mo Na Kami Pwede Gawing Excuse.” With improved driver allocation, passengers can now rely more confidently on Grab for their transportation needs.

Growing Supply: A Gradual Journey to a Balanced Market

In 2023, the ride-hailing industry moved closer to achieving a demand-supply balance, with the LTFRB releasing around 25,000 TNVS slots, positively impacting service reliability. This has improved Grab’s performance, reducing the average pickup time to approximately six minutes, giving users ample time to prepare and reach the pick-up point. This improvement results from increased vehicle availability and streamlined operations.

Grab Philippines Chief Operating Officer Ronald Roda shares, “Amidst our advancements and strong position in the ride-hailing industry in the Philippines, Grab remains committed to uplifting the lives of both our passengers and driver-partners. As we serve more of our kababayans, we are dedicated to providing the very best that Grab has to offer. Our drive towards a more connected, efficient, and sustainable future fosters an inclusive ecosystem where everyone prospers.”
