Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has reaffirmed its dedication to the Philippines’ motorsport community by announcing the renewal of its partnership for the 2024 Philippine Rallycross Series. Since its inception in 2021, this collaboration has been integral to IPC’s involvement in motorsports, particularly in rallycross, where the Isuzu D-MAX has consistently demonstrated its exceptional power and performance.
Sanctioned by the Automobile Association of the Philippines, Inc. (AAP), the Philippine Rallycross Series offers a platform for drivers and enthusiasts to showcase their skills and test their vehicles’ capabilities on challenging dirt tracks. IPC’s continued support for this series underscores its commitment to fostering the spirit and development of motorsports in the country.
Reflecting on the partnership, Mr. Robert Carlos, Assistant Division Head for Sales at IPC, emphasized, “Our renewed partnership with the Philippine Rallycross Series highlights Isuzu’s belief in the vitality and enthusiasm of Philippine motorsport. By featuring our champion Isuzu D-MAX, which has dominated its category for two consecutive years, we celebrate the unwavering determination of those who dare to push boundaries.”
Central to IPC’s involvement is the Isuzu D-MAX, renowned for its robust performance in rallycross competitions. Equipped with the formidable 4JJ3 Blue Power Diesel Engine, the D-MAX delivers 190 PS of maximum power and 450 Nm of torque, complemented by a suspension system designed to conquer the challenges of rallycross tracks. This unique combination of power and durability positions the D-MAX as the preferred choice for both IPC and rallycross champions.
Champion rally driver Mr. Louie Camacho, set to pilot the D-MAX, praised the vehicle’s capabilities: “The D-MAX’s performance on the rallycross circuit is unparalleled. Its exceptional power, precise handling, and superior suspension deliver an exhilarating driving experience that truly sets it apart.”
