Isuzu Philippines Delivers 10 New Modern PUVs to Lungsod Silangan Transport Cooperative in Antipolo

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), through its dealership Isuzu Manila, has delivered 10 brand-new Isuzu NLR77 Class 2 Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) to Lungsod Silangan Transport Service and Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LSTSMPC). This addition expands LSTSMPC’s fleet to 111 modern PUVs, bolstering their commitment to providing reliable and comfortable transportation along the Cogeo to Cubao route. The new Isuzu PUVs, powered by the 4JH1-TC Blue Power Diesel engine, are known for their fuel efficiency while transporting heavy loads and passengers.

Built according to Philippine National Standard (PNS) guidelines, the Isuzu NLR77 Class 2 PUVs feature bodies fabricated by CENTRO Manufacturing, air conditioning by Country Cool, and an Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) powered by BEEP. These elements work together to enhance passenger comfort and convenience, ensuring a seamless travel experience. With these modernized PUVs, LSTSMPC continues to play a key role in advancing public transport services in Antipolo City.

LSTSMPC General Manager Arcadio Inso emphasized the importance of Isuzu’s strong aftersales support and readily available spare parts, which were critical factors in their decision to expand their fleet with Isuzu. “We trust Isuzu because of their reliable aftersales service and the availability of spare parts, ensuring minimal downtime for our units,” said Inso. The cooperative’s partnership with Isuzu helps them maintain efficient operations, reducing service interruptions.

Financing for the new vehicles was facilitated by Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), reflecting a growing trend among cooperatives to seek commercial bank support for fleet expansion. This delivery marks another milestone in IPC’s ongoing commitment to supporting the government’s PUV Modernization Program, offering high-quality, environment-friendly, and customer-focused transportation solutions.
