MOVE IT empowers riders’ professional and personal development through the ‘Tropang May Malasakit’ program

Aligned with its mission to cultivate sustainable and impactful livelihoods for its rider-partners, homegrown motorcycle taxi provider MOVE IT has introduced the “Tropang May Malasakit” Program. This initiative is crafted to bolster welfare and support for the “Kuya and Ate ng Kalsada,” ensuring their comprehensive development and engagement.

The program offers a robust range of rewards and services to rider-partners, including health insurance, financial aid, and access to training and development opportunities. Wayne Jacinto, General Manager of MOVE IT, emphasizes the importance of these initiatives in providing social security for rider-partners and their families, acknowledging their pivotal role as primary breadwinners.

Recognizing the financial challenges faced by riders, MOVE IT has collaborated with GrabFinancial Group Philippines to provide the “Ka-Tropa Cash Loan,” a micro-financing solution tailored exclusively to MOVE IT rider-partners. This loan offers accessible financing with flexible repayment terms, addressing essential needs such as education expenses, vehicle maintenance, and entrepreneurial ventures.

To further support rider-partners, MOVE IT has partnered with Manulife to offer health and life insurance coverage for Platinum and Gold-tier riders. This additional support complements existing benefits such as accident and medical coverage, as well as food and fuel vouchers.

Tech updates to the driver app aim to enhance rider-partners’ productivity and earnings capacity. Features like the visualized Heat Map and Auto-Accept streamline the booking process, while Set Destination allows riders to optimize their routes for efficient matching with passengers.

Jacinto reaffirms MOVE IT’s commitment to professionalizing the habal-habal sector, highlighting Tropang May Malasakit as a cornerstone program in this endeavor. Safety remains a priority, with initiatives like the Malasakit sa Biyahe Program focusing on road safety enhancements, improved reporting mechanisms, and skills assessment and development programs.

Through these efforts, MOVE IT continues to empower its rider-partners on their journey toward securing a better future for themselves and their families.
