Nissan Kicks e-POWER Electrifies Cross-Border Adventure from Thailand to Malaysia

Nissan recently showcased the electrifying capabilities of its Kicks e-POWER with a cross-border road trip from Hat Yai, Thailand, to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This marked the first-ever regional journey for the Kicks e-POWER, offering media representatives from Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia the chance to experience the thrill of 100% electric motor driving. The event, themed “Kickstart Fun Adventures with Kicks e-POWER,” highlighted the vehicle’s powerful acceleration, smooth handling, and fuel efficiency, all without external charging.

Starting from Hat Yai, participants traversed scenic routes through Betong, a border town with diverse cultural influences, before crossing into Malaysia. The journey included stops at iconic locations like Tok Ku Chae Bridge and Dataran Tasik Raban, demonstrating the Kicks e-POWER’s capability on both winding mountain roads and expansive highways. Advanced safety features such as Nissan’s 360 Safety Shield, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW), and Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB) ensured a secure and enjoyable ride throughout the 650-kilometer trip.

On the second day, the journey continued from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur, where participants fully experienced the Kicks e-POWER’s seamless acceleration and superior driving comfort. The e-Pedal Step and multiple driving modes made for an adaptable and effortless ride through both highways and dense urban streets. The trip concluded with a celebratory dinner, where media personnel completed a “1-tank challenge,” demonstrating the Kicks e-POWER’s remarkable fuel efficiency.

This journey celebrated the expansion of Nissan Kicks e-POWER in ASEAN, with Malaysia being the latest market to receive the model. Since its ASEAN debut in 2020, the Kicks e-POWER has been introduced in six countries, furthering Nissan’s commitment to advancing electrified mobility across the region.
