Suzuki Philippines kicked off its 50th Anniversary celebration with the One Suzuki Kick-Off Ride, a two-day event held on January 28-29, 2025. Bringing together Suzuki’s Motorcycle, Automobile, and Marine Divisions, the event highlighted Suzuki’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and strong relationships built with its customers and dealer network. Suzuki Philippines President, Mr. Koichiro Hirao, emphasized the brand’s role as a life companion for millions of Filipinos over five decades. With over 62 media personalities participating, the event included thrilling test rides of Suzuki motorcycles and automobiles, as well as a boat ride showcasing Suzuki’s high-performance outboard motors.

Motorcycle media enjoyed testing various models, including the Raider R150 Fi, Smash Fi, and V-STROM 250 SX, while automotive media took the Jimny 5-Door and XL7 Hybrid on a scenic drive to Pico de Loro. The event also highlighted Suzuki’s unified engineering philosophy across divisions, focusing on power, speed, quality, and reliability. After a day filled with adventure, attendees relaxed at a beachfront dinner, further strengthening ties with Suzuki executives and fellow participants.

Suzuki’s executives, including Managing Director Mr. Norminio Mojica and Automobile Division Director Mr. Norihide Takei, shared the brand’s success, emphasizing its growth and strong presence in the Philippine market. Suzuki Automobile achieved over 10% growth in 2024, and the brand is excited to introduce more innovative vehicles like the Jimny 5-Door and XL7 Hybrid. Motorcycle Division Head, Mr. Jose Salavarria, reflected on Suzuki’s rich heritage, noting that 12 out of 30 models are proudly manufactured in the Philippines, catering to both local and export markets.

Marine Division General Manager, Mr. Yukio Sato, highlighted Suzuki’s role in the Philippines’ maritime industry, providing reliable and efficient outboard motors that have become synonymous with performance. He also emphasized Suzuki’s commitment to after-sales service, ensuring that Suzuki products perform at their best throughout their lifecycle.
