It was one exciting race at the Super Suzuki Raider R150 One Make Race at the Shell Advance Super Series Nationwide Championships Leg 4 held on June 18 at the Carmona Racetrack. In carrying out Suzuki’s commitment to develop motorsport in the country, Suzuki is bringing in the feel of the highly acclaimed Suzuki Asian Challenge (SAC) to the local racing scene. This is through the Super Suzuki Raider R150 One Make Race which is within the Super Series Nationwide Championships – IR Cup Series (Luzon) and Regional Underbone Grand Prix (Visayas and Mindanao).
The Super Suzuki Raider R150 One Make Race features the Underbone King – Raider R150 in a single-make competition and is open to all participants. The race aims to showcase the power and performance of the well-loved Suzuki motorcycle on circuit with its slim body and powerful DOHC 150cc carburetor engine. The Raider R150 is the ideal motorcycle to get into when racing as it provides the rider excellent maneuverability and handling.

During the Carmona leg, spectators saw 25 riders joining the single-make competition during the eliminations to determine the 15 riders to do the battle at the final round. The final round was a close fight between the 15 riders but who gave us a heart-pumping action were Clifford Bacus and Gian Carlo Mauricio who were head to head all throughout the race. In the end it was Clifford Bacus with best time of 52.646 who got the 1st place, Gian Carlo Mauricio with a best time of 52.908 followed next on 2nd place and Kerwin Chang with best lap time of 53.784 coming on 3rd Place. Fans also saw a display of the Raider R150 in its newest and very handsome color – the Matte Black Premium Edition with Suzuki partner dealer Motortrade.
The Super Suzuki Raider R150 One Make Race will return on Leg 5 at the Shell Advance Super Series Nationwide Championships in Panglao, Bohol.
