Suzuki set the trend as it showcased a glimpse of the future by launching its latest line-up of motorcycles in fashion and style through the 2018 Suzuki Dealer Convention and Awards Night at the Grand Hyatt Manila on August 23, 2018. Another first from Suzuki, the brand proved that it does not only dominate the streets but that it can also warm up the runway through the launch of its latest motorcycles with their chic design and stylish colors that will surely make every heads turn in a fashion show which happened the same evening aptly called as the Manila Fashion Collection Night.

Suzuki President Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki, himself said it in his welcome remarks that Suzuki would transform that night and the brand sure did. Acknowledging the changing trends and the needs of the young market, Suzuki has shown that it is the fitted brand for our millennials as it merges the things that they all love – style, fashion, self expression, being unique and function. First on the ramp were the bikes that will bring colors to your everyday ride – the Smash Stylish Colors. The No. 1 selling underbone leisure motorcycle now comes with 8 new colors to choose from Pink, Violet, Black, Yellow, Matte Black, Red, Matte Gray and Blue. With the matte gray and blue ones now having a disc/drum brake combination. They all still bear Smash’s signature sportswatch instrument panel and compact chassis. The drum brake variants are priced at Php 57,900 while the disc/drum variant is available at Php 60,900.

Following these rides is the well-loved Underbone King in its braver and bolder look. Introduced on the runway with amazing performance from World Hip Hop International winner, the A-Team clad in their camo clothing. The King is definitely ready for combat with its new military-inspired decals speaking of the Raider’s strong and tough character making it truly undisputable. And on to the newest Suzuki ride – it is compact and slim with awesome styling, the fashionable scooter that will definitely set the trend – the all new Suzuki Skydrive Sport! Heating up the stage with an amazing song number alongside this fashionable scooter was one of this generation’s most promising young talents Lala Vinzon. Jump into the future and ride in style with this scooter bearing Suzuki’s sports DNA inherited from the GSX-R lineage which can be seen on its headlight and tail light. It has a newly designed frame giving a large floorboard for a more comfortable and flexible riding position. An overall look that exudes charm, style, youthfulness and fun – this scooter will certainly fit the dynamic lifestyle of our millennial riders. It is powered by 113cc Suzuki Eco Performance Fuel Injection (SEP Fi) technology that delivers maximum power at an optimum fuel consumption. The Skydrive Sport is available in 3 colors – the Hyper Pink, Black and Matte Silver and is priced at Php 67,900.
As the finale, Suzuki’s very own Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil came out in their Bench and Kashieca outfits and gave the whole Team Suzuki Family a song number. During the interview, they also underscored the importance of safety riding mentioning that being stylish on the road is fun but this shall be done with the proper riding gears and attitude when riding. They were then joined by Suzuki executives Hiroshi Suzuki, Managing Director Norminio Mojica, General Manager for Sales and Marketing Jun Bulot, Marketing Manager Monch Bontogon, Regional Sales Managers Erick Fernandez (North Luzon), Mitsunori Shiraishi (NCR and South Luzon), Bong Pascual (Visayas) and Joel Martin (Mindanao).
Suzuki’s collaborative efforts for the Skydrive Sport with Bench were also kicked off at the event that will certainly be loved by the millenials. One of which is the retail promo wherein every purchase of a Skydrive Sport comes with an exclusive Suzuki x Bench Collab shirt. Bench is also having its 31st anniversary promo wherein 31 lucky customers will win a brand new Skydrive Sport. A special visual merchandising on select Bench stores will also feature Skydrive Sport units nationwide for those OOTD goals!
The exclusive occasion was prepared for Suzuki’s valued dealers who were then given recognition for their sales performances in the previous years and was hosted by beauty queen Nicole Cordovez and DJ Nikko Ramos. Media friends were also in attendance to cover this momentous event. Also present were Suzuki’s social media personalities Wil Dasovich, Martin David of Sole Movement, Van Allen Ong, Wilbert Ross, Vitto Marquez and Ana Vicente. The Manila Fashion Collection Night fashion show was directed by the esteemed Robby Carmona and styled by Noel Manapat. Sashaying on the runway were the young talents from the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP).
