Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX Conquers Cordillera Adventure with V-Strom Philippines

Suzuki Philippines proudly announces the V-Strom 250 SX’s remarkable performance in the Cordillera Adventure Tour Category 3, in collaboration with V-Strom Adventure Philippines (VAP). The lightweight adventure bike showcased its versatility and capability as V-Strom riders tackled the challenging terrain of the Cordilleras, reaffirming the V-Strom 250 SX’s reputation as the “Master of Adventure.”

Designed for rugged trails, the V-Strom 250 SX’s lightweight frame and agile handling made it ideal for the demanding conditions. Its powerful engine delivered the necessary torque to climb steep inclines, while the bike’s comfortable ergonomics ensured long hours of riding without fatigue. The VAP Club, known for their love of exploration and adventure, previously completed the Cordillera Adventure Tour Categories 1 and 2 with larger V-Strom models. This time, they took on the more rigorous Category 3 to highlight the V-Strom 250 SX’s capabilities.

Led by VAP President Pat Cunanan, veteran riders Willie Eustaquio, Ryan Tolentino, Joseph Fernando, Henry Gabriel, and motorcycle media correspondent Ian Gongona, the team navigated over 1,000 kilometers through 11,542 curves and 23 checkpoints. They braved various weather conditions and terrains, including rivers, rocky roads, and high-altitude locations. Adventure MotoVlogger Mcleen Amoguis, also known as Boy Perstaym, documented their journey.

Starting from Baguio City, the group passed through scenic and challenging routes, including Atok, Bontoc, Kalinga, Abra, Sagada, Quirino Skyline, and Ilocos Sur, eventually circling back to La Union and Baguio. The four-day, 1,300-kilometer expedition tested not only the bike’s prowess but also the camaraderie of the team, as they supported each other through the grueling adventure under the harsh monsoon weather.

This adventure, the first of its kind for Suzuki, reinforces the V-Strom 250 SX’s status as a reliable and capable motorcycle. The VAP’s success in the Cordillera Adventure Challenge further solidifies the bike’s reputation as a formidable adventure machine, inspiring a new generation of adventure riders to explore the unknown with the V-Strom 250 SX.
