The UMA Racing Yamaha Philippines team started off epic against other racers in round 7 of the Asia Road Racing Championship in Thailand. Carrying the Filipino pride and abundant support, Mckinley Kyle “The Wonderboy” Paz and Masato “The Chairman” Fernando made a striking fight marking their place in the competition.
Racing for victory in Race 1, tactics were coming off to play. The veteran racer in the duo, Fernando, is indeed back in the game placing at 3rd on the podium. For this round, he started off at the 21ST position and climb his way up every lap, owning the dominance that he wanted. During the race, he kept his confidence and the burning passion in winning a spot while reminding everyone that he’s “The Chairman” – the racer whom everyone looks up to.
It was a great round for “The Wonderboy” Mckinley Kyle Paz as he brought back the title as the ARRC leader giving him a two-point lead from the previous holder. Aiming to ace a good position until the last lap, Kyle landed 6th position with a powerful take in this round.
Overall, the Uma Racing Yamaha Philippines Team is at the 3rd rank of the ARRC’s UB150 Category Team Standing setting a fierier match on the remaining part of the competition. The result of Race 1 was a symbol of pride – Fernando and Kyle didn’t fail to finish with a momentous ending. The final round had begun and the battle for the ultimate racer for this season continues tomorrow at Race 2.
