Yamaha FastFest Ignites Davao with High-Speed Thrills

Yamaha Motor Philippines revved up Davao City during the Yamaha FastFest at SM Lanang Premier on October 19 and 20, celebrating the brand’s signature speed and performance. The event showcased Yamaha’s commitment to delivering thrilling, high-performance machines that cater to riders with a need for speed.

At the forefront were the new Yamaha Sniper155 and Sniper155R, which captivated attendees with their enhanced features and aggressive styling. The Sniper155 boasts a 155cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine, while its sporty design and updated color scheme offer a bold, dynamic look. The Sniper155R, now equipped with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), further elevates safety and control, setting a new standard for high-performance underbone motorcycles.

Yamaha Philippines Racing Team member April King Mascardo, despite recovering from an injury, made a special appearance. Alongside fellow riders Mckinley Kyle Paz and Gian Carlo Mauricio, Mascardo reflected on their championship-winning careers and the pivotal role the Yamaha Sniper played in their success. The trio expressed excitement about the latest innovations, underscoring the model’s legacy in shaping Filipino racing talent.

Fans of speed and adrenaline also had the chance to test their skills on the MotoGP Moto Trainer, the official MotoGP simulator, offering a virtual taste of professional racing. For those eager to strike a racing pose, the Lean Angle Experience allowed participants to simulate cornering on Yamaha motorcycles, capturing the excitement of track racing in an interactive photo-op.

Capping off the event was a performance by Yamaha Ambassador Nik Makino, whose song “Creating Champions” perfectly captured the spirit of Yamaha Racing Philippines.
