Yamaha Philippines Racing Team Perseveres After Challenging Indonesian Round

Round 4 of the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) took place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia from July 26-28. The Yamaha Philippines Racing Team faced ongoing challenges, including the absence of April King Mascardo, who is still recovering from his injury.

In the absence of his partner, Gian Carlo Mauricio stepped up to represent the country. Despite his best efforts, Mauricio finished 18th in Race 1 and 11th in Race 2. Known as “The Flash,” Mauricio remains determined to showcase his full potential, especially after his victory in Round 2 at the Zhuhai International Circuit in China.

McKinley Kyle Paz, known as “The Wonderboy,” achieved his best finish since securing 3rd place in Thailand, finishing 7th in Race 2. This was a significant improvement from his 12th place finish in Race 1. His performance helped maintain the Yamaha Tekhne Racing Team Asia’s position as the top team in the standings. Paz also welcomed back his teammate, Apiwat Wongthananon, who had missed the previous race. As a trailblazer in Filipino racing, Paz has faced tougher situations and is determined to find his way back to the podium.

The Yamaha Philippines Racing Team is looking ahead to the next round of the ARRC, where they have an opportunity to turn their fortunes around. Round 5 will be held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia from September 13-15.
